A classic of the postwar abstract art. The series «Signal Systems» of the late 50's became a link between the Russian avant-garde and the work of artists of the 60’s. He tried to calculate how the space of the non-objective picture was arranged, and how it affects the viewer with the rhythm of the pictorial elements by methods of exact sciences. Works are in the Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum.
