Artist
Vladimir Veisberg 1924 - 1985
Painter of the unofficial Soviet art in the 60-80’s. He studied monochromatism, the possibilities of colour nuances, its psychology. By developing the shades of a single tone or palette, he tried to reduce the color to the image of «white on white», seeking the «invisible painting». Pictures of the «white» period are associated with «metaphysical still lifes». Works are in the Russian Museum, in the Tretyakov Gallery.
