Nonconformist sculptor, graphic artist, poet. Being a WWII veteran, he chose the mankind trauma of the 20th century as his theme. Love, faith, beauty of the body and nature resist aggression, suffering, sorrow. His style is laconic, the figures have almost a symbolic convention. Human-like images are also embodied in his assemblages. Sculptures are installed in Russia, Germany, the USA. Works are in the Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum.
