Founded the "New Artists" (1982) and "New Academy" (1989) movements. Started in the 70’s with neo-expressionist art. In the 80’s his "theory of sign perspective" identified his style with collages and stencils on textiles, paintings and graphics. The method of "recomposition", making new art from old, led to classical paintings called "neoacademism" in the 90’s. Works are in the Tretyakov Gallery, Stedelijk Museum, MUMOK.
