Easily combines different medias: graphics, paintings, photos, audiovisual installations and movies. The main subjects are marginal characters and objects, located on the periphery of perception, of the city and of the suburbs. With the help of associations, Chernyshova catches patterns, be it by chance or by coincidence. Participated in the Venice Biennale (2001, 2015). Works are in the Russian Museum, MMOMA.
