Oleg Vasiliev 1931–2013
Classic painter of the unofficial art from the 60’s-80’s, graphic artist, worked with Eric Bulatov. His main theme is memory. Using a photorealistic technique of painting, Vasiliev depicts houses, family, friends, roads and parks with a touch of nostalgia. Constructs the picture space by introducing planes, color schemes. Experiments with space are expressed through abstraction. Works are in the Tretyakov Gallery, Russian Museum.
