Artist
Natalia Nesterova 1944
In her paintings, continues the experiments of modernists and naive artists. Works with simplified shapes. Paintings are executed in reserved, yet loud colours contrasting with earth tones with blue and green. The works are ‘voluminous’, textured. The subjects seem mysterious, often remind of sermons, sometimes with Christian or mythical references. Works are in the Tretyakov Gallery, Russian Museum.
