A classic of Russian land art and kinetic art. Explored the ways to capture the movement in drawing in the 60's. Started creating abstract installations in the 70's – «artifacts» in natural landscapes, using mirrors, moving elements and optical illusions. His goal is to search for harmony of natural and artificial. Laureate of the State Prize of the Russian Federation (1996). Works are in the Russian Museum, the Tretyakov Gallery.
