Growing up in the GDR, the photographer creates vivid and surreal series, where he studies the legacy of the Soviet era and works with post-Soviet aesthetics. The project «Russian Fairy Tales» fixes the absurdity, frozen in time; the book «Imperial Pomp» was the result of the trip to the former USSR – shots of odd 00’s skyscrapers. Was published in Spiegel, Zeit, New York Times, National Geographic, CEO magazines.
