Ernst Neizvestny 1925–2016
Representative of unofficial art. First of all, he is a sculptor-monumentalist, also works in painting, using the plastic ideas of his sculptures. His works, composed of separate parts of the body and geometric figures, are expressive and combine elements of cubism and symbolic imagery. This expressive aesthetics gives new life to classical subjects. Works are in the Tretyakov Gallery, the Pushkin State Museum.
