Painter, graphic artist. In the 60’s works on the formula of «cleared» paintings, creates minimalist abstractions. From the 70’s combines poster texts, symbols (most often Soviet), with figurative and landscape painting, creating a sense of absurdity, emphasising the contrast of propaganda and reality. He also developed the theory of painting and space interaction. Works are in the Tretyakov Gallery, the Pompidou Center.
