A classic artist of the unofficial art in the 60-80’s, was one of the first to work with photographic images. He translated antique and personal photographs onto paper and canvas, modified them, combined them with texts, geometric figures, symbols, subjecting psychological and historical drama to conceptual analysis. In the 90’s he created collages with erotic scenes. Works are in the Tretyakov Gallery, the Russian Museum.
