Boris Mikhailov1938

Classic of social documentary photography. Known for photos of homeless people who have no place in the post-Soviet 90's. Working with bottom society aesthetics designed for the shock effect, he acts simultaneously as a critic of society and an artist expanding the boundaries of aesthetical and ethical. Laureate of the «Hasselblad» Award. Works are at MOMA New York, the Metropolitan Museum, Tate Modern.
