Aidan’s painting and graphics reinterprets traditional oriental art: black and gold with blue palette, care to the ornament and outline, accurate lines - due to her fondness for miniature. She was one of the first post-Soviet artists working with the theme of gender roles, sexuality, the status of women in the modern world. Participant of the Venice Biennale (1990, 2011). Works are in the Tretyakov Gallery, MMOMA.
