In the early 2000s, Alexey Kallima created performances and installations. He then returned to painting. All his works are united by the balance of colour, composition, and feelings and vary from highly social subjects to romanticized images of everyday life and semi-abstractions. The artist participated in the Venice Biennale (1995, 2009).
