Artist
Alexander Vinogradov, Vladimir Dubosarsky 1963, 1964
Their paintings reflect entire epochs – the post-Soviet 1990’s and the glamorous 2000’s. Fusing Russian and Western media images, using quotes from socialist realistic painting, Vinogradov&Dubosarsky created ironic, theatrical scenes reminiscent of the conditional «Russian fantasy». In 2010, artists returned to reality: they turned to everyday street stories. Works are in the Tretyakov Gallery, the Pompidou Center.
